CertaScan - Rig Floor Tubular Inspection
CertaScan provides rig floor diagnostic tubular scanning while tripping out of the hole. Scan inspection evaluates tubing for wall thickness anomalies, rod wear, splits, pitting, and other abnormalities.
The innovative system uses advanced rig floor scanning equipment with solid-state wall monitoring that eliminates the use of gamma ray radiation. The scanning equipment has the industry’s largest tubing size capabilities with a range from 2-3/8 to 4-1/2 in.
Trip speed capabilities of around 80-120 feet per minute minimizes interference with normal tripping operations, and remote monitoring allows CertaScan operators to maintain 60-80 ft. separation from the wellhead.
Along with scanning the tubing, our operators regularly perform UT spot checks and visual prove up techniques to verify scan performance. .
An advanced reporting technique will provide immediate analysis of tubing performance. All scan reports are provided to our customer in hard and soft copy, and also entered into the CertaTrack database allowing web based access 24/7. From CertaTrack, a specialist can build out a suite of reports based on the exact criteria of a customers choosing. Customers can also choose form our pre-built reporting suites.
Scanning is an efficient way to quickly check for tubing anomalies during routine production tubing trips.
